How to Download and Install PCProtect

Need help downloading and installing PCProtect? Just follow the steps below for your selected device.

Before proceeding with the installation of PCProtect, we recommend checking out our System Requirements article, for help on which version you can install.

Download PCProtect

To download PCProtect, you will need to head over to your Online Portal, and install it by clicking on the Install PCProtect button.

If you cannot access your Online Portal, find our direct download button for PCProtect below:

Downloads Folder

Open the Downloaded File within your browser downloads area or by going to your downloads folder in File Explorer.

Allow PCProtect To Make Changes To Your Device

Next, click Yes to allow PCProtect to begin the installation process. Without approval, PCProtect will not be allowed to install on your device.

PCProtect Setup

When the PCProtect setup window opens, click Install.

Setup File Installation

Please wait for the setup files to be downloaded and be installed.

Restart

Click on OK to restart your computer.

Login

Enter your PCProtect log in details, and click on Login.

Enable Real-Time Protection

Once you have logged into PCProtect, it will automatically try and enable Real-Time Protection. Should it not, you will need to click on Enable Real-Time Protection.

You Are Now Protected!

Note: If you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, you may need to install a tool called Rosetta 2. This is provided by Apple and helps your Mac run apps that were originally designed for Intel-based Macs.

Download PCProtect

To download PCProtect, you will need to head over to your Online Portal, and install it by clicking on the Install PCProtect button.

Downloads

Open the Downloaded File within your browser downloads area or by going to your downloads folder in Finder, and double click the pcprotect.dmg file.

Begin Installation

Double click the Package Icon to begin the Installation.

PCProtect Installer

The Installation Window will pop up, please click Continue.

Install

Click on Install to begin installing PCProtect. If you are using more than one storage drive, select the Destination you would like to install PCProtect, and then click Install.

Authorization

Input your Apple Mac Password, and click on Install Software.

PCProtect Installation Successful

Click on Close to proceed to the PCProtect application.

Get Started

Click on Get Started Now to log into PCProtect.

Automatic Login

PCProtect will attempt to login using your current browser session, please click on Continue. Should it be unsuccessful, please follow the next step.

Login

Enter your PCProtect log in details, and click on Log in.

Setup Real-Time Protection

Once you have installed PCProtect you will need to enable Real-Time Protection to safeguard you from real time threats.

  • Get Started
  • Click on Enable to get started.

  • Real-Time Protection Setup Window
  • Click on the green button labeled Open System Preferences. If required, click on the lock icon to make changes.

  • Full Disk Access
  • Enabled PCProtect to have Full Disk Access by clicking on the toggle button.

  • Allow Privacy & Security To Make The Changes
  • Enter your Apple Mac Login Credentials, and click Modify Settings.

  • PCProtect to Quit Later
  • Click on Later.

  • Full Disk Access Granted
  • Once Full Disk Access has been granted, click on Next to proceed with the Real-Time Protection setup.

  • Real-Time System Extension Install
  • Click on Install, in the newly opened PCProtect setup window.

  • Go To System Settings
  • Click on Open System Settings.

  • Enable the PCProtect Endpoint Security Extension
  • Click on the toggle button to enabled PCProtect Real Time Extension.

  • Authorize Modification to a System Extension
  • Enter your Apple Mac Login Credentials and click Ok.

  • Done
  • Click on Done, to proceed to the next step.

  • PCProtect System Extension Successfully Installed
  • Click on Next, to proceed to the next step.

  • Open System Preferences
  • Click on Open System Preferences.

  • Allow Full Disk Access For The System Extension
  • Enable the PCProtect 5 Real-Time Extension by clicking the toggle button.

  • Authorize Privacy & Security Changes
  • Enter your Apple Mac Login Credentials details, and click Unlock.

  • System Extension Full Disk Access Granted
  • Click on Re-Launch to restart PCProtect.

    View the step-by-step instructions, if you are using an older version of macOS, i.e. 10.13 or 10.14.

  • Install PCProtect System Extension
  • Click Install to begin the installation of the PCProtect System Extension.

  • System Preferences
  • Click on Open System Preferences.

  • Authorization
  • Click the Lock Icon to authorize the changes you are about to make, and enter your Apple Mac Account Credentials.

    Click Unlock when the credentials have been inputted.

  • Allow Changes
  • Click Allow.

  • Complete PCProtect Setup
  • Go to the PCProtect Application, and click Complete Setup.
